The NVIDIA’s GTX 980 Ti’s specs were recently confirmed<\/a>, so all we need now is a price.<\/p>\n

With performance that approaches a Titan X<\/a>, the GTX 980 Ti is not going to be cheap, especially not locally where prices are fairly inflated.<\/p>\n

That said, the Titan X, starting at around R16,000, is simply too expensive for anyone with a shred of common sense to afford, even if what you’re looking for is a beastly GPU.<\/p>\n

At potentially R7,000 cheaper, the GTX 980 Ti may just be the monster card for you.<\/p>\n

According to WCCF Tech<\/a>, the price of the GTX 980 Ti is expected to start at around $799, something Evetech’s price listing for its GTX 980 Ti’s variations confirm:<\/p>\n

That said, according to South Korean site HWBattle<\/a>, says KitGuru<\/a>, the GTX 980 Ti may well be priced at $649, allowing it to hopefully severely undercut the price of AMD’s upcoming flagship card, the Fiji XT<\/a>.<\/p>\n

AMD’s Fiji XT, officially known as the Radeon Fury<\/a>, with its high-bandwidth memory<\/a> is sure to cost and arm and a leg.<\/p>\n

So what does that mean for the price of the GTX 980 Ti locally?<\/p>\n

With a bit of MyGaming mathematics, which is more estimation and guesswork than anything, we’ve worked out how much more a GTX 980 as well as Titan X costs locally as compared to international prices.<\/p>\n

Using those percentages, around 14.5% for the GTX 980 and 24% for the Titan X, the GTX 980 Ti should cost between R9,035<\/strong> and R9,784<\/strong> if we’re lucky and the card releases at the much friendlier $659 and R11,122<\/strong> and R12,045<\/strong> if it’s $799.<\/p>\n
