Now in its final beautiful form, we can gasp at this beaut of a controller.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/8fs2Yh1PFwM\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>In the video showcased, you can see the controller being used to play a variety of games including\u00a0<em>The Witcher 3<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The Steam Controller is a unique controller in that it features dual trackpads, HD haptic feedback, dual-stage triggers, back grip buttons, along with customisable control schemes for all your favourite games.<\/p>\n<p>You can choose your favourite control mappings from the Steam community, so you&#8217;re not stuck with one fixed set of controls for your games.<\/p>\n<p>The most noteworthy feature of the controller are the dual trackpads which Valve claims enables:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The high-fidelity input required for precise PC gaming in the living room. Allowing for 1:1 absolute position input via virtual controls like a trackball, adaptive centering joystick, or steering wheel, these surfaces can be programmed to serve up whatever a game needs.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>What this means is the controller could possibly let you play your favourite strategy games and perhaps even <em>DOTA 2<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Limited quantities of the controller\u00a0will be shipped October 16th, in\u00a0advance of the\u00a0official launch.\u00a0You can pre-order the Steam Controller now if it piques your interest.<\/p>\n<p>We love the design of the Steam Controller and see many possibilities for Valve&#8217;s first entry into the peripheral market.
