Recently, Halo 5: Guardians<\/em> was leaked as\u00a0Game Informer’s cover for\u00a0July. The game has some brilliant in-engine\u00a0character models with the\u00a0likes of Nathan Fillion making a return to the franchise.<\/p>\n

However, according to 343 Industries\u2019 Frank O\u2019Connor, they had to sacrifice one element of the game’s design to obtain 60fps goodness.<\/p>\n

It has now been confirmed that\u00a0Halo 5<\/em> will not include local split-screen co-op, a hallmark of Halo’s<\/em> multiplayer from the very beginning.<\/p>\n

343 Industries commit to their 60 fps target for the game, and this means that multiplayer should run without fault.<\/p>\n

O’Connor assures us that the game was built around a 60fps experience, not only for multiplayer but for the singleplayer experience as well.<\/p>\n

In addition to this news, more screenshots of\u00a0Halo 5: Guardians\u00a0<\/em>have been leaked.<\/p>\n

Along with this, a user who is playing the current build has confirmed that many fan-favourite weapons are making a return including the Incineration Cannon, the Railgun, the Boltshot and the Suppressor.<\/p>\n

Halo 5: Guardians<\/em>\u00a0will exclusively release on Xbox One this year. Expect major\u00a0E3 announcements related to the game in the coming week.<\/p>\n
