Much as we\u2019d like to talk about the Radeon Fury cards until the cows respawn, let\u2019s meet the rest of the RX 300 range:<\/p>\n

\"AMD<\/a>

The AMD cards for those of us who can’t afford a Radeon Fury.<\/p><\/div>\n

With AMD\u2019s Radeon Fury cards now established as their flagship\/top-end cards, the R9\u00a0300 series has moved down a notch in the grand scheme of things \u2013 they\u2019re still fairly potent cards.<\/p>\n

Along with the R9 390 series<\/a>, AMD also introduced the R9 380<\/a>, R7 370<\/a>, and their current new bottom-end card, the R7\u00a0360.<\/p>\n

All of those cards should release sometime this year. For more information regarding each card, you might want to check out Eteknix\u2019s leaked slideshow for each card revealed at the Press Conference here.<\/p>\n

We should also probably note that the R7\u00a0370 card is actually powered by a twice rebranded GPU.<\/p>\n

According to Eteknix<\/a>, it\u2019s almost the same GPU that powered the HD 7850 in 2012, in fact \u2013 that means GCN<\/a> 1.0.<\/p>\n

What that means is that the R7\u00a0370 does not support VCE (Video Codec Engine), TrueAudio or the exalted FreeSync feature sets.<\/p>\n

The card is also somewhat underpowered when compared to the R9\u00a0270, so don\u2019t pay attention to the \u201c370\u201d and instead focus on the \u201cR7\u201d warns Eteknix; it will likely be slower and, thus, not replace the R9\u00a0270.<\/p>\n

Instead, go for the more expensive R9\u00a0380 or wait for a card to fill in the gap. And there\u2019s always NVIDIA.<\/p>\n
