Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has announced that South African hip-hop duo Locnville are joining the ranks on SingStar with the release of their first single ‘Sun in my Pocket.’ The track is now available from both the SingStore and PlayStation Store.<\/p>\n
Following their live performance at the closing PlayStation party at Gamescom 2010 in Germany, this addition gives fans around the world the chance to get up close and personal with the duo’s first hit.<\/p>\n
To celebrate the release of the Locnville SingStar track, PlayStation is also giving away an exclusive Locnville wallpaper for the Cross Media Bar (XMB), a special Locnville SingStar in-game wallpaper, and “The Locnville Story,” – a behind the scenes docu-video including interviews, autobiographical footage and their best live performances.<\/p>\n
SingStar owners can visit the Locnville folder under SingStar in the PlayStation Store for their free XMB wallpaper and docu-video, or go direct to the SingStore for the in-game wallpaper.<\/p>\n
Born in New York and raised in Cape Town, identical twins Andrew and Brian Chaplin fuse bass-heavy electro with hip-hop to create their unique sound. Moving on from their first single ‘Sun in my Pocket,’ the boys’ unique take on music has evolved in their second single ‘Six Second Poison’ as well as their latest, ‘There.’<\/p>\n
Keen gamers and SingStar fans, Locnville have also taken up the challenge and recorded their own SingStar performances for the My SingStar Online community. Andrew commented: “Working with PlayStation has been amazing! We loved the gig in Germany and are looking forward to playing virtually in Home. PlayStation is providing a Locnville ‘live in concert’ video streaming for free from VidZone, and interested gamers can see them perform to their own tracks at My SingStar Online.<\/p>\n
