Batman: Arkham Knight<\/em>, Rocksteady\u2019s final foray into the Dark Knight\u2019s life, is almost here, but of course, some critics have gotten an early copy and we have their reviews summarised for you below.<\/p>\n

Like with The Witcher 3<\/a><\/em>, all early copies of the game are for PS4, so there won’t be any Metacritic scores for Xbox One or PC, but we imagine they’ll be around the same.<\/p>\n

Generalised scores aside, what do the critics think of the caped crusader\u2019s final adventure from Rocksteady?<\/p>\n

“Despite the game’s size, Batman’s on the same beat he’s been since Arkham Asylum<\/em>, broadly speaking: hunting for clues and grabbing gadgets that get him ever closer to catching the bad guy behind it all. But Rocksteady has honed that formula in Arkham Knight<\/em> to something approximating perfection.”<\/p>\n

Gotham is a dazzling playground where neon lights pierce through the rain and mist; all it takes is a single glimpse to tell you that this is a city in need\u2026 Yet most of these elements–excellent acting, wonderful animations, moody soundtrack–are ones that Batman: Arkham City also excelled in, making Arkham Knight’s missteps all the more noticeable. ”<\/p>\n

Rocksteady leaves a few plot threads dangling to tease and taunt us, but the grim tale that started all the way back in Arkham Asylum is done.”<\/p>\n
