{"id":78570,"date":"2015-07-15T16:00:29","date_gmt":"2015-07-15T14:00:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/?p=78570"},"modified":"2015-07-15T16:25:22","modified_gmt":"2015-07-15T14:25:22","slug":"unreal-engine-4-the-home-of-sonic-and-mario","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/business\/78570-unreal-engine-4-the-home-of-sonic-and-mario","title":{"rendered":"Unreal Engine 4: the home of Sonic and Mario"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Thanks in no small part to aspiring developers like\u00a0Aryok Pineral and YouTuber <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/user\/CryZENx\" target=\"_blank\">CryZENx<\/a>, weirdly, Mario has become the unofficial mascot for Epic Games\u2019 Unreal Engine 4.<\/p>\n<p>Having initially demonstrated <a href=\"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/news\/77906-mario-in-unreal-engine-4-is-gorgeous-colourful-and-what-weve-always-wanted.html\" target=\"_blank\">what Unreal Engine 4 can do for Nintendo\u2019s famous plumber<\/a>, wannabe developers have taken to throwing Mario in a number of Unreal Engine 4 powered scenarios.<\/p>\n<p>Take this Boy and his Kite demo as an example. Mario has been thrown into the lush, Unreal Engine 4 powered tundra, and we are already imagining potential gaming scenarios as a result.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/yWZxH2qSWu0\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s a demonstration, no more, no less.
