The Dark Souls<\/em> franchise has become one of the greatest series in the industry.<\/p>\n This is mostly thanks to the success of the Souls<\/em> series, like Dark Souls<\/em>, Demon\u2019s Souls<\/em> and Bloodborne<\/em>, which is more a spiritual successor.<\/p>\n It’s also because the series has done its best to push the boundaries of challenging combat, exploration and complex lore since its debut back in 2009.<\/p>\n There is one slight issue though. Great as the series may be, not every gamer out there respects what From Software have created and thinks that the game is an average hack-and-slash title at best, its only redeeming factor being its difficulty. And boy was it hard.<\/p>\n Many gamers out there have started playing Dark Souls<\/em>, or Dark Souls 2<\/em> and have succumb to the harsh difficulty curve that the series is known for. Many of these gamers have given up on the game and have never returned.<\/p>\n CD Projekt RED created a mammoth RPG with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt<\/em>.<\/p>\n Its 200 hour gameplay is something to behold, but so few of us have the time necessary to dedicate everything to one game.<\/p>\n And The Witcher 3<\/em> is a whole new sort of beast. There are so many quests and locations to explore in The Witcher 3<\/em> that opening your map and just trying to figure out where to start is a quest in itself.<\/p>\n Sure, the game promises great adventures, but some gamers might feel overwhelmed by the magnitude of the world and its inhabitants.<\/p>\n Not completing Skyrim<\/em> was not your fault, it was the game\u2019s quest generator that kept spewing out quests for you to complete, making the game literally everlasting.<\/p>\n Bethesda worked on a quest generator that they called the Radiant Quest System. This system would generate tasks for you to complete depending on your level and game progress.<\/p>\n It would also make new quests available for you or your faction and provide them to you over a number of mediums.<\/p>\n As a result, Skyrim<\/em> literally never ended, and that’s not your fault. Just the same, you were never finishing this one, not completely anyway.<\/p>\n To take in the magnitude of Ubisoft\u2019s Himalayan shooter is something to behold. The game\u2019s environment and landscape is something spectacular and trying to traverse the entire world is a mission, albeit a beautiful one.<\/p>\n There are just so many side quests to try and get through, so many treasure to collect, and so many of those freaky Masks of Yalung to track down.<\/p>\n To complete everything in Far Cry 4<\/em> means that you are on some other level of completionist, and I take my hat off to you.<\/p>\n Just the thought of trying to climb up that rock to find a bell to rotate makes me queasy.<\/p>\n One of the worst rated Sonic<\/em> games in history was criticized for its poor story, bad gameplay, dull environments and being an overall buggy mess.<\/p>\n I remember playing through it as it was one of the first PS3 games I ever bought.<\/p>\n As I played through it, I lost hope for gaming and I prayed, hoping that this would not be the future of the PS3.<\/p>\n SEGA made a game that was impossible to play. Damage boxes were a disaster, floors disappeared, load times wore horrendous and stupidly frequent, and the overall buggy experience left you crying in the corner of your room.<\/p>\n It was an unpleasant experience from start to near finish for me.
