In 2014, Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics announced the sequel<\/a> to the 2013 Tomb Raider<\/em> game\u00a0on Microsoft\u2019s E3 stage.<\/p>\n

It was revealed, on that very stage, that\u00a0Rise of the Tomb Raider<\/em> would be launched with timed exclusivty\u00a0on the Xbox One and Xbox 360 at launch, but little to nothing was said about its launch for the other platforms.<\/p>\n

Finally, we’ve got release windows for the PC and PS4.<\/p>\n

PS4 gamers wanting to play Rise of the Tomb Raider<\/em> will have to wait until\u00a0\u2018holiday 2016\u2032, close to 12 months following the launch of the game on Xbox One.<\/p>\n

Yet on a more slightly positive note, PC gamers won’t have to wait too long for their release of Rise of the Tomb Raider<\/em>, which will be coming to Steam in\u00a0\u2018early 2016\u2032. That is far less time than the PS4 release.<\/p>\n

Rise of the Tomb Raide<\/em>r will launch for Xbox One on November 10th, which is the exact same release day as\u00a0Fallout 4<\/em>, which is looking especially tantaliasing after its\u00a0recently released raw gameplay trailer<\/a>, and a better option at this point in time.<\/p>\n

For PC gamers, \u2018early 2016\u2032 suggests a release in between\u00a0January and March of 2016, and their respective PS4 counterparts with their release for ‘holiday 2016’ could imply somewhere in October and November.<\/p>\n

The result is now that PS4 and PC gamers are left somewhat in the dark with this vague release schedule.<\/p>\n

But it’s not all bad as we will certainly be getting\u00a0Fallout 4<\/em> for our PCs and PS4s, so all is not lost. But it is still a real pity about\u00a0Rise of the Tomb Raider<\/em>.<\/p>\n
