Not only has it enjoyed monstrous sales figures, but it has managed to maintain a massive active (paying) subscriber base since its launch in 2004.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>It was announced in December 2008 that the game had peaked at 11.5 million subscribers, and until recently, it was not able to crack the 12 million mark.
