A lot, and we mean A LOT<\/a><\/strong>, of people have already downloaded and installed Windows 10.<\/p>\n

It’s a fairly easy process too. Unfortunately, like any good OS, “good” probably isn’t the right word, it’s breaking some things.<\/p>\n

The issue is that unwanted drivers are being installed by Windows 10 which conflicts with hardware and hey presto… problem.<\/p>\n

It’s all got to do with Microsoft who, in their infinite wisdom, decided that it would be better for automatic updates to be unavoidable, unassailable, indubitable and, well, annoying<\/a>.<\/p>\n

They have, however, seen the error of their ways and backtracked that issue \u2013 sort of.<\/p>\n

Microsoft has released a tool, which you can download here<\/a>, that allows you to earmark and ultimately block drivers that may cause issues, giving you time to get things working.<\/p>\n

It’s hardly the fix we wanted, but it’s something. And it was implemented rather quickly, which is nice.<\/p>\n

It’s almost as though Microsoft has had practice with implementing unpopular systems and revoking them *cough*<\/strong> Xbox One *cough*<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Now we’ve just got to hope that Microsoft removes the forced updates altogether. It’s an annoying, unnecessary feature.<\/p>\n
