Over the past two years the rand has weakened significantly against major world currencies \u2013 leading to\u00a0South Africans paying more for imported goods.<\/p>\n

One of the hardest-hit categories are technology products, with\u00a0nearly all devices imported.<\/p>\n

This raises the question: How much more are South Africans are paying for computing equipment when compared to international markets?<\/p>\n

MyBroadband looked at some popular tech\u00a0devices, and compared the local price with the pricing in Australia and the UK.<\/p>\n

The results show that South African prices are usually in line with the UK and Australia, as detailed\u00a0in the table below.<\/p>\n
