{"id":79737,"date":"2015-08-07T11:00:36","date_gmt":"2015-08-07T09:00:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/?p=79737"},"modified":"2015-08-07T11:17:14","modified_gmt":"2015-08-07T09:17:14","slug":"security-firm-working-on-unhackable-windows-10","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/pc\/79737-security-firm-working-on-unhackable-windows-10","title":{"rendered":"Security firm working on unhackable Windows 10"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Israeli security firm <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.morphisec.com\/\">MorphiSec<\/a><\/strong> is developing a version of Windows which it says will be virtually impossible to hack.<\/p>\n<p>MorphiSec co-founder Dudu Mimran, who is also the CTO of the Telekom Innovation Laboratories Israel, said the very secure version of Microsoft Windows is what \u201cMicrosoft should be doing\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>MorphiSec uses a patented technology to provide an unbreakable security layer around core, mission-critical systems.<\/p>\n<p>The company protects Windows against <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Zero-day_%28computing%29\" target=\"_blank\">zero-day<\/a><\/strong> attacks, where an attacker exploits a security vulnerability which is still unknown to the vendor and has therefore not been fixed.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/uk.businessinsider.com\/expert-builds-secure-version-of-windows-2015-8\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Mimran told Business Insider<\/strong><\/a> that they have created a version of Windows that \u201crandomises all the memory\u201d for specific Windows applications.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBy making computer memory a moving target, a hacker can\u2019t mess with it, and therefore can\u2019t cause damage to the rest of the computer or the data,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>\u201cWhoopee, no more need for unavoidable automatic updates,\u201d you might be thinking. After all, if your Windows 10 can no longer be hacked, then there shouldn\u2019t be a need for <a href=\"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/pc\/78746-windows-10-automatic-updates-will-be-impossible-to-avoid.html\" target=\"_blank\">Microsoft to enforce updates<\/a> upon its consumer base.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s probably not what Microsoft is thinking.
