It\u2019s been a tough week for South Africa.<\/p>\n

The rand is losing major ground to the US Dollar and British Pound, the mining sector is in trouble, and I am working this long weekend.<\/p>\n

While I was initially saddened by the thought of spending three days behind my PC while everyone else did holiday stuff, I thought back to how I spent the previous weekend.<\/p>\n

It was Saturday evening, around 20:00, and I was in my room with a blanket wrapped around me playing Cities: Skylines on Steam.<\/p>\n

And to answer your next set of questions: no, there were no supermodels sleeping in my bed, and I was not on my way to a dope party.<\/p>\n

At least my city of Alrightsville is thriving \u2013 I might even extend the subway system, paid for by increased tax revenue, in the coming days.<\/p>\n
