{"id":80003,"date":"2015-08-14T11:30:14","date_gmt":"2015-08-14T09:30:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/?p=80003"},"modified":"2015-08-14T11:43:23","modified_gmt":"2015-08-14T09:43:23","slug":"dying-light-the-following-the-game-it-always-should-have-been","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/business\/80003-dying-light-the-following-the-game-it-always-should-have-been","title":{"rendered":"Dying Light: The Following, the game it always should have been"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ever since Techland\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/news\/78931-a-major-dying-light-expansion-is-teased-during-180-days-of-content-montage.html\" target=\"_blank\">initial teaser<\/a> of <em>Dying Light\u2019s<\/em> upcoming expansion, <em>The Following<\/em>, we\u2019ve been oddly attracted to the prospect of its <a href=\"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/news\/79235-dying-light-the-followings-map-is-larger-than-the-original-introduces-cars.html\" target=\"_blank\">massive new world<\/a>, newly introduced vehicles and all that it entails.<\/p>\n<p>And <em>The Following\u2019s<\/em> latest reveal trailer show\u2019s exactly why we can\u2019t wait to play the missing chapter of <em>Dying Light\u2019s<\/em> protagonist, Kyle Crane\u2019s, story.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/IalzXF9K724\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><em>Dying Light: The Following<\/em> takes players outside the walls of the quarantined Harran, into the hazardous, open outback \u2013 it\u2019s a ravaged countryside to be sure.<\/p>\n<p>But perhaps most appealing to us, more than the introduction of the vehicles, is the idea of having to navigate open fields, moonlit but otherwise almost pitch black, biters and volatiles all around.<\/p>\n<p>Suddenly, your car roars to life and you\u2019re tasked with outrunning the volatiles as they intercept your car from all angles.<\/p>\n<p>Throw in the huge number of new places to parkour around and the promise of new mechanics and tactics not previously possible in <em>Dying Light<\/em>, and you can see the appeal.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Dying-Light-The-Following-Reveal-Trailer-Screenshot-3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-80011\" src=\"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Dying-Light-The-Following-Reveal-Trailer-Screenshot-3.jpg\" alt=\"Dying Light: The Following - With the city still under quarantine, there is little hope left and tension is running high. Players will again take the role of Kyle Crane, and will be thrown into Harran\u2019s outback region, rife with the infected, where they\u2019ll encounter a mysterious, and seemingly all-powerful cult, capable of changing the face of <em>Dying Light\u2019s<\/em> world. To infiltrate and unravel dark secrets of The Following, Kyle Crane will need to face all-new challenges and use his abilities to the limit.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>It sounds promising.
