All of a sudden, Colonel Campbell, your supervising commander, will begin acting very strange.<\/p>\n Eventually he tells you that you have been playing too long, and commands you to turn off the system.<\/p>\n Things start going to the next dimension.<\/p><\/div>\n Every build up to the release of a Metal Gear<\/em> game has also been swarmed with Kojima\u2019s misleading marketing and ploys that veil the true nature of whatever masterpiece he is concocting.<\/p>\n The man just enjoys leaving us flabbergasted, poking around in our brains using polygons.<\/p>\n Kojima inserted himself into Ground Zeroes.<\/p><\/div>\n Kojima sparked worldwide speculation when he left his Mother Base, Konami. His split has been for the most part a complete enigma.<\/p>\n The controversial departure has been rationalized by factors such as Konami\u2019s guillotining of supremely expensive video game development, The Phantom Pain <\/em>pushing $80 million.<\/p>\n Speaking of which, MGSV <\/em>will be Kojima\u2019s swansong in his stealthy godsend series.<\/p>\n Konami has promised to produce more sequels, but they will most definitely turn out like the Silent Hill <\/em>games after Team Silent were ousted, complete rubbish.<\/p>\n Clobber Artichoke Head with a pipe in Silent Hill: Homecoming<\/em>.<\/p><\/div>\n So, anyway, the point I\u2019m trying to make here is that with this being Kojima\u2019s final MGS<\/em> game, him making his sorrowful departure and<\/strong> him being a devilish digital prankster, we are in for some major <\/em>mind-effing with The Phantom Pain<\/em>.<\/p>\n This is possibly Kojima\u2019s last chance to turn our faces upside-down, at least on such a proliferated, mainstream level.<\/p>\n We know things are going to get weird.<\/p><\/div>\n He is in no way going to let us off lightly.<\/p>\n Those who have been following the development of TPP<\/em> know that this final missing chapter of the titanic saga is going to reveal the true reason for \u2018Big Boss\u2019s\u2019 transition from hero to villain; the missing link in Snake\u2019s evolution.<\/p>\n That revelation in itself is going to be a psychic hammer to the cerebrum without a doubt.<\/p>\n How did you end up like this, Big Boss?<\/p><\/div>\n TPP <\/em>occurs almost directly in the middle of the Metal Gear <\/em>timeline, during the mid-80s, a period in Metal Gear <\/em>history that has been rarely touched upon and kept obscure, perhaps deliberately, as a premeditated opportunity to masterfully finish off the legacy in Kojima\u2019s infamously convoluted, roundabout way.<\/p>\n This will be the perfect opportunity to drop as many bombs about as many characters and events as possible.<\/p>\n A legacy of awesomeness; Big Boss and his favourite son, Solid Snake.<\/p><\/div>\n Then there is the release date. Around the world, every boy and girl will be unwrapping their copy of TPP <\/em>on September 1st<\/sup>.<\/p>\n But will we actually get it then? Is this just another elaborate hoax by Kojima Productions, his farewell middle-finger to the industry that abandoned him?<\/p>\n Probably not, but I do see some kind of fiendish diversion ahead. Something like: you excitedly jam the disc containing what you think is TPP <\/em>into your platform of choice.<\/p>\n Instead, Tiger\u2019s Honey Hunt<\/em> loads up.<\/p>\n Solid Pooh.<\/p><\/div>\n In any case; I am direly, desperately, dismally excited to the point of hysteria to get my spidery fingers on a copy of TPP<\/em>.<\/p>\n If you weren\u2019t a fan of Metal Gear <\/em>before TPP <\/em>hit the media, there is a good chance that at least your curiosity has now been sparked.<\/p>\n Even if you don\u2019t enjoy the gameplay, at least treat your psyche to some roller-coaster rides, Kojima style.<\/em><\/p>\n The downfall of Konami<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a>
