If Transformers: Devastation <\/em>wasn\u2019t on your radar before, it will be shortly.<\/p>\n

Releasing on October 6th<\/sup> for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3, PS4 and PC, it\u2019s one heck of a hack-and-slash \u2013 that\u2019s what happens when a transforming robot dinosaur (Grimlock<\/a>) throws down alongside Optimus Prime.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not really that much of a surprise that Platinum Games is developing, perhaps, the coolest robot game of all time, and it\u2019s only appropriate that it\u2019s based on Transformers<\/em>.<\/p>\n

In fact, our enthusiasm for the game would likely curtail should it have been anything but.<\/p>\n

\"Transformers:<\/a><\/p>\n

Designed to look reminiscent of The Transformers<\/a><\/em> television series, and it really does, Transformers: Devastation<\/em> pays a lot of homage to each character of the franchise.<\/p>\n

Platinum Games has taken the time to tweak every character until they best suit their personalities from the franchise we\u2019ve come to love.<\/p>\n

In fact, during the game\u2019s development, they \u201cspent a lot of time trying to match each character\u2019s personality with a complementary fighting style. Bumblebee, for example, attacks faster than any other Autobot, but he sacrifices a fair amount of power. And Wheeljack\u2019s mechanical ingenuity translates into an attack pattern that centers on ranged weapons.\u201d<\/p>\n

Each character also sports their own personalised sense of style, unique abilities and mechanics that means varied playstyles and approaches to encountered adversaries.<\/p>\n
