The latest MyBroadband speed test results show that Vox Telecom and Internet Solutions recorded the highest average ADSL and VDSL speeds respectively.<\/p>\n

MyBroadband\u2019s speed test servers make use of Ookla\u2019s platform, and are hosted in Teraco\u2019s vendor-neutral data centres in Johannesburg and Cape Town.<\/p>\n

Through NapAfrica, all network operators present at its peering points are provided with a free 1Gbps connection to the MyBroadband speed test platform.<\/p>\n

To ensure that only results from broadband connections are used, MyBroadband filters speed tests based on network information from the Internet service providers.<\/p>\n

Over the last month, 47,528 speed tests were performed on MyBroadband\u2019s speed test server.<\/p>\n

ADSL and VDSL results<\/strong><\/p>\n

The results show that Internet Solutions had the highest average VDSL speed at 20.5Mbps, while Vox Telecom had the highest average ADSL speed at 7Mbps.<\/p>\n

The tables below show the top five ADSL and VDSL ISPs, based on average download speed.<\/p>\n
