It\u2019s really not all that difficult to figure out the logic behind porting Dragon\u2019s Dogma: Dark Arisen <\/em>to PC.<\/p>\n

Dragon\u2019s Dogma<\/em> offers some of the most compelling and enjoyable RPG-centric combat you\u2019re likely to encounter, but in spite of that, having never been available on PC, many a PC gamer has yet to taste the delectable delight that is Dragon\u2019s Dogma<\/em> \u2013 that\u2019s just a shame.<\/p>\n

Capcom aims to rectify that by porting Dragon\u2019s Dogma: Dark Arisen<\/em>, which is essentially the original game plus a standalone expansion as well as some additional content, to PC \u2013 they\u2019re also offering a visual upgrade as part of the package.<\/p>\n

Dragon\u2019s Dogma: Dark Arisen<\/em> for PC will support 4K textures, is fully integrated with Steam\u2019s services and will allow the use of gamepads, should PC gamers prefer it over mouse and keyboard.<\/p>\n

The visual update alone should make for quite the experience.<\/p>\n

If you thought the PS4 and Xbox One lacked the muscle to support 4K textures, then imagine the visual update over a game from the era of the Xbox 360 and PS3.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re hoping there are more graphical touch-ups and improvements to be found, particularly in the area of lighting, anti-aliasing and textures for those who don\u2019t have the rig to support 4K.<\/p>\n

And it had better not be locked to 30 fps. If it is, you can forget it Capcom.<\/p>\n

No seriously. If it\u2019s locked to 30 fps, then it may as well forget ever appealing to us. We won\u2019t even consider it until a modder unlocks it and has it working as necessary.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re really rather looking forward to it; it\u2019s been a long time coming. Just don\u2019t fudge this up Capcom.<\/p>\n

Dragon\u2019s Dogma: Dark Arisen<\/em> arrives for PC in January, 2016<\/strong>. It\u2019s going to be priced at $29.99<\/strong>, which is a little on the expensive side given its age, but we\u2019ll wait to see the quality of the release before we judge.<\/p>\n
