When Capcom announced their intentions to release Dragon\u2019s Dogma: Dark Arisen<\/em> for PC via Steam yesterday<\/a> we had one particular thought in mind, it had better not be frame locked to 30 fps.<\/p>\n

As a largely action-orientated RPG, a game that requires finesse and as smooth as an experience as possible to properly enjoy it, 30 fps would absolutely slaughter the gameplay experience for us.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s particularly bad for us PC gamers, not because we\u2019re in anyway superior, but because we\u2019re so used to 60 fps and higher \u2013 30 fps and lower is really quite noticeable, and oh so aggravating.<\/p>\n

With that in mind, a number of concerned digital citizens have sent queries to Capcom in this regard, and happily, they\u2019ve replied in kind.<\/p>\n

Capcom\u2019s Sr. Director of Digital Platforms has replied via NeoGAF<\/a>, saying, \u201cTons of folks asked whether the upcoming PC port will have a capped frame rate. With DDDA being an MT Framework-based game, you can rest assured it\u2019ll have the usual graphics options found in other Capcom PC titles. Stay tuned as we\u2019ll have more details to share regarding tech specs and features in the coming weeks\/months.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n

Technically, his reply didn\u2019t absolutely promise the lack of a frame lock, but he sort of hinted at it. He also promised a number of graphical options, which is just what we wanted.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s hoping that there are more improvements being made to Dragon\u2019s Dogma: Dark Arisen<\/em> for PC.<\/p>\n

Expect it to release in January of 2016<\/strong> for Steam and cost $29.99<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
