Apart from the name change, the service will remain the same.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The rebranding was made public via a <a href=\" http:\/\/twitter.com\/AceyBongos\/status\/27867343066#\" target=\"_blank\">tweet<\/a>&nbsp;from European Xbox manager Graeme Boyd, and came into effect following yesterday&rsquo;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.xbox.com\/en-US\/live\/joinlive\" target=\"_blank\">Xbox.com<\/a> redesign.<\/p>\n<p>Xbox Live Gold remains unchanged, and is still required for anyone wanting to play games online via Xbox Live.<\/p>\n<p>The update seems to be a completely superficial one, and should help new users distinguish between the different Xbox Live accounts.
