{"id":81482,"date":"2015-09-21T12:32:19","date_gmt":"2015-09-21T10:32:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/?p=81482"},"modified":"2015-09-21T12:34:05","modified_gmt":"2015-09-21T10:34:05","slug":"games-you-can-play-this-week-football-femmes-and-fears","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/features\/81482-games-you-can-play-this-week-football-femmes-and-fears","title":{"rendered":"Games you can play this week &#8211; football femmes and fears"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The abundance\u00a0of video game releases continues this week as we steamroll\u00a0closer to the always-busy fourth quarter of the year.<\/p>\n<p>It seems like big games are launching every week nowadays, with titles like <em>Metal Gear Solid V<\/em>\u00a0and <em>Forza Motorsport 6<\/em>\u00a0filling people\u2019s time (and helping lighten their wallets).<\/p>\n<p>However, this week we see the return of a football veteran and a new horror experience emerges from the ocean&#8217;s depths:<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"my-4\">FIFA 16<\/h2>\n<p><em>Release date: 24 September (PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PC, PS Vita)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>No one expects major overhauls to the core gameplay of an annual sports franchise like <em>FIFA<\/em>;\u00a0you generally get a couple of new features, plus updated rosters and schedules, which usually pleases fans for another year.<\/p>\n<p><em>FIFA 16<\/em> features all those little gameplay tweaks, but the biggest addition\u00a0is the\u00a0inclusion\u00a0of 12 Women\u2019s National Teams. It\u2019s been an all-male series to date, so that ought to shake things up a bit.<\/p>\n<p>It also has 78 stadiums (50 of which are real), loads of players, and new weather conditions for the latest generation of consoles.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/7EJ_MZe_5ik\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"my-4\">SOMA<\/h2>\n<p><em>Release date: 22 September 2015 (PS4, PC, Mac)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Developer Frictional Games knows a thing or two about crafting\u00a0a heart-thumping horror experience. It\u2019s the team responsible for the <em>Amnesia<\/em> series on PC, after all.<\/p>\n<p>The company\u2019s latest work of creep-tactic unease is <em>Soma<\/em>, a game that brings the horror to an underwater research facility, where you\u2019re stuck among evil beings who want to kill you.<\/p>\n<p>The thing that stands out about Frictional\u2019s games\u00a0is that you never play as a soldier or anyone who\u2019s capable of taking on the horrific creatures that are hunting you down. In fact, there\u2019s usually not even\u00a0an attack button.<\/p>\n<p>These games are about being careful and trying to avoid the Lovecraftian monsters that want to detach your head from your body. Soma might not be for everyone, but if you like a good fright, it ought\u00a0to deliver.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/NgtVc4gTcgY\" width=\"600\"
