CD Projekt&#8217;s Tomasz Gop has told <a href=\"http:\/\/www.eurogamer.net\/articles\/2010-10-20-cdp-console-witcher-2-may-not-happen\" target=\"_blank\">Eurogamer<\/a> that while the PC version of the Witcher 2 is on track for its March 2011 release, the &#8220;potential&#8221; console version will not be released at the same time. The fact that Gop&nbsp;referred&nbsp;to it as the &#8220;potential&#8221;&nbsp;console&nbsp;version, plus the fact that only the PC version has been shown off so far, has lead many to speculate as to whether the console version even exists yet.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;All I can say for now is that it&#8217;s not likely for any POTENTIAL [sic] console release to be simultaneous [with the PC game],&#8221; said Gop.<\/p>\n<p>He was unable to give any further comment.<\/p>\n<p>The developer has remained hush-hush on the console version of the game, refraining even from specifying which consoles it will be released for. The Witcher: White Wolf was previously planned as a console adaptation of The Witcher, but was canned due to a lack of funding.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Witcher was a favourite for many RPG gamers, and the sequel is highly anticipated.
