One of the most disappointing games cancellations in recent years was that of Star Wars 1313<\/em>.<\/p>\n Intended to be a gritty and relatively dark expansion to the Star Wars<\/em> saga, the game looked absolutely incredible when the first gameplay demo<\/a> made it’s debut.<\/p>\n Gorgeous visuals, gameplay similar to that of Uncharted<\/em> and an interesting-sounding story were all part of the charm.<\/p>\n Star Wars<\/em> fans waited with baited breath during 1313<\/em>\u2019s long development period, and then… business politics got involved.<\/p>\n Disney bought LucasFilm, and with the deal Disney made the decision to close down the LucasArts branch responsible for making the game.<\/p>\n Though a few rumours began to circulate with regards to 1313<\/em>\u2019s continued production, it\u2019s become pretty clear to that this title will likely never see the light of day.<\/p>\n The Command & Conquer<\/em> series once tried its hand at a first-person shooter in the form of C&C: Renegade<\/em>. The game didn\u2019t blow gamers away, but admittedly, the idea intrigued everyone.<\/p>\n Tiberium<\/em> was supposed to be another spin-off which gave the FPS genre another go.<\/p>\n Tiberium <\/em>was meant to introduce solid shooting gameplay mechanics with the RTS elements the series is primarily known for.<\/p>\n The game got quite a way in terms of development process, with a number of trailers and gameplay videos showing off Tiberium<\/em> in motion.<\/p>\n The game was cancelled due to failing to meet EA\u2019s quality standards, which is unfortunate given the potential of the project.<\/p>\n Indy has had a fairly solid track record in games. His old point-and-click adventures, such as Fate of Atlantis<\/em>, are still fan-favourites to this day; then when a current-gen Indy game went in the trash, it all came as a bit of a surprise.<\/p>\n Originally set to release on Xbox 360 and PS3, the\u00a0LucasArts developed game was going to be the premier showing of the NaturalMotion Euphoria engine.<\/p>\n Unfortunately, LucasArts began prioritising The Force Unleashed<\/em>, which led to internal struggles within the development house.<\/p>\n The game was then shelved and ironically sits as a dusty old relic that Indy himself would track down. Check out the game in action<\/a>.<\/p>\n While many may think that a Dirty Harry<\/em> game would never be considered (it was) and whether Clint Eastwood would approve (he did), there\u2019s no denying that it would make for an awesome shoot-\u2018em-up.<\/p>\n The game was planned to take players back into the shoes of San Francisco\u2019s no-holds-barred police officer, with Eastwood on-board to provide voice work.<\/p>\n It all sounded a too good to be true, and the closure of developer Foundation 9 solidified that notion.<\/p>\n Warner Bros.
