{"id":8311,"date":"2010-11-02T10:47:00","date_gmt":"2010-11-02T08:47:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"-0001-11-29T22:00:00","slug":"blizzcon-s-red-shirt-guy-added-to-world-of-warcraft","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/business\/8311-blizzcon-s-red-shirt-guy-added-to-world-of-warcraft","title":{"rendered":"Blizzcon\u2019s Red Shirt Guy added to World of Warcraft"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After challenging Blizzard&rsquo;s World of Warcraft writer panel on an esoteric and useless point of fictional lore about some character named Falsted Wildhammer &ndash; and winning! &ndash; Blizzcon&rsquo;s instant nerd celebrity, &ldquo;Red Shirt Guy&rdquo;, has now been honoured (well, relatively) with his very own red-shirted NPC, dubbed &ldquo;Wildhammer Fact Checker&rdquo;. Falsted has also apparently been put back into the game, the outrageous illegitimacy of his erstwhile disappearance now so convincingly proven and corrected.<\/p>\n<p>Both characters are not yet in the live beta version of World of Warcraft: Cataclysm, but game lead designer and Blizzard forum moderator Alex Afrasiabi AKA Valnoth has confirmed that they&rsquo;re real, and that those slutty Night Elves are waiting on Wildhammer Fact Checker to rock their world in a bit of private cataclysm. Okay, I made up that last part.<\/p>\n<p>No word yet from Red Shirt Guy himself, but I&rsquo;m guessing everybody who made fun of him is totally jealous now.
