Star Wars: Masters Of Teras Kasi<\/strong><\/h3>\nWhile it was ambitious of\u00a0LucasArts to attempt a Star Wars<\/em> fighting game, it was also inevitable given the popularity of fighting games at the time.<\/p>\nStar Wars: Masters Of Teras Kasi<\/em> isn\u2019t the worst game ever made, but it\u2019s a pretty horrendous Star Wars<\/em> game.<\/p>\nThere was no real impact when making contact with opponents, and even the characters wielding weapons like lightsabers felt like they were swinging around bamboo sticks rather than cutting through enemy limbs like butter.<\/p>\n
When ranked up against other fighting games of the same era, namely Soul Calibur<\/em> and Tekken 2<\/em>, it\u2019s hard to not think of\u00a0Masters Of Teras Kasi<\/em> as nothing but a cash-in.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n

Star Wars: Demolition<\/strong><\/h3>\nA fond yet somewhat disturbing memory from the PlayStation days is that of playing\u00a0Star Wars: Demolition<\/em>.<\/p>\nThis was LucasArts\u2019 attempt at capturing the vehicular carnage appeal of Twisted Metal<\/em>, but of course it was Star Wars. How could it go wrong?<\/p>\nThe vehicles were what you\u2019d expect \u2013 an AT-ST walker, speeder bike and so on \u2013 but they all handled like a toy car in superglue.<\/p>\n
Worse still, the levels were dull and empty, offering you no real strategy or anything to look at besides your opponent awkwardly trying to line you up in their sights.<\/p>\n

Star Wars: Super Bombad Racing<\/strong><\/h3>\nWe love kart racing as much as the next guy, but merging the genre with Star Wars<\/em> just seems wrong.<\/p>\nLoose controls and the rather unsettling experience of seeing characters like Darth Maul and Boba Fett in bobblehead form proved way too much for us.<\/p>\n
Besides, any game that uses the Gungan city of Otoh Gunga as a race track\u00a0can\u2019t be good.<\/p>\n

Star Wars Kinect<\/strong><\/h3>\nKinect Star Wars<\/em> had a bad rep from the get-go for its franchise-milking exploits, but the line had been crossed when Star Wars Kinect<\/em>\u2019s infamous dance-segments were confirmed real.<\/p>\nWhile there was a slight charm in wielding a virtual lightsaber in the other modes, the beloved\u00a0Star Wars<\/em> fantasy\u00a0was brutally mutilated to become a theme-park-esque ride of childhood dreams dying, thanks to\u00a0bad voice overs, the over- and under-use of rail-styled gaming and unresponsive controls.<\/p>\nStar Wars Kinect<\/em> is just not the game we wanted it to be.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n

Star Wars: The Clone Wars\u00a0\u2013 Republic Heroes<\/strong><\/h3>\nStrangely, there have been successful and well-designed platforming and combat-based Star Wars<\/em>\u00a0games (looking at the likes of The Force Unleashed<\/em> and Jedi Power Battles<\/em>), so it\u2019s a mystery why\u00a0Star Wars: The Clone Wars\u00a0\u2013 Republic Heroes<\/em> decided to abandon all of those fundamentals put in place.<\/p>\nWe were excited to play through the quirky animated world from the Clone Wars<\/em> TV show, but it became\u00a0impossible because the game features poor controls so wonky that even a minor task like successfully jumping from one platform to another can be a serious chore, not too mention the minimalist visual style of the show did not translate well to the game.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
