{"id":83957,"date":"2015-11-30T01:00:12","date_gmt":"2015-11-29T23:00:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/?p=83957"},"modified":"2015-11-30T13:40:30","modified_gmt":"2015-11-30T11:40:30","slug":"ps4-will-officially-support-remote-play-for-pc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/business\/83957-ps4-will-officially-support-remote-play-for-pc","title":{"rendered":"PS4 will officially support remote play for PC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Following the development of <a href=\"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/news\/83921-ps4-remote-play-is-unofficially-available-for-pc.html\" target=\"_blank\">unofficial PS4 Remote Play Support for the PC<\/a>, Sony has revealed that they, themselves, are working on official Remote Play for the PC.<\/p>\n<p>Sony head Shuhei Yoshida confirmed the news via a <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/yosp\/status\/670077392761716736\" target=\"_blank\">Tweet<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Some people asked if we plan to provide Remote Play function to PC, and yes, we are indeed working on an official application for PC\/Mac. \ud83d\ude00<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Shuhei Yoshida (@yosp) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/yosp\/status\/670077392761716736?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">November 27, 2015<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Coming to both PC as well as Mac, we imagine that Sony&#8217;s solution will be a damn sight more capable than the unofficial application, if only because the unofficial app uses an Android emulator.<\/p>\n<p>Direct streaming without software emulation should offer flat-out better performance and a application which should natively handle the many resolutions available to PCs, something Android emulation can struggle with.<\/p>\n<p>Either way, Remote Play for the PS4 to PC is going to happen.
