Thanks to a new method<\/a> for digging around for Steam IDs and their associated app names, Steam Database<\/a>, otherwise known as SteamDB, has listed a number of discovered IDs \u2013 many of which are very exciting.<\/p>\n

We hardly need to tell you that this is in no way a confirmation, and nothing is for certain until the mighty Gaben confirms it himself, clad in his very own HEV Suit and brandishing Gordon\u2019s crowbar.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, while SteamDB listings usually translate into title releases, it\u2019s not a guarantee.<\/p>\n

Any developer can rename their app into whatever they so choose, until the game goes on sale \u2013 it\u2019s the Steam ID that hard locks their game to Steam.<\/p>\n

For the moment, we\u2019re considering this a cruel troll, but the good news is that we may very well see titles like Final Fantasy X\/X-2 HD Remaster<\/em>, Final Fantasy VI<\/em>, Journey<\/em>, Everybody\u2019s Gone to Rapture<\/em> and Earth Defence Force 4.1 <\/em>on PC, which is good news indeed.<\/p>\n
