The live-action Assassin\u2019s Creed<\/em> film is one of the biggest video game movie adaptations coming our way in 2016, and while we are yet to see a trailer for the highly-anticipated big-screen outing, we are starting to get some glimpses of Ubisoft and Michael Fassbender\u2019s ambitious project.<\/p>\n

Following the reveal of the logo (which is pretty much what we expected) and poster, we’ve got a shot of Mr. Fassbender, who will play\u00a0Callum Lynch\u00a0in the movie, a new character to the AC universe.<\/p>\n

\"Assassins
\nThe X-Men<\/em> and 12 Years a slave<\/em> actor\u00a0also has\u00a0said\u00a0that\u00a0he\u2019s been playing the game itself\u00a0for months.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve played it since mainly to get an idea of the physicality of the character,<\/em>\u201d he said. \u201cWe believe the whole concept around it is special and want to service that the best we can. The fans are really passionate: very specific and they expect accuracy and historical detail. We\u2019re really trying to capitalize and feed on and enjoy the fun element. We\u2019re working hard to make this something special.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n

Marion Cotillard stars alongside Fassbender, in addition to Michael Kenneth Williams and Ariane Labed, also pictured in the new photo. Shooting on the pic recently began in Malta, London and Spain.<\/p>\n

Assassin\u2019s Creed<\/em> hits theatres\u00a0December, 2016.<\/p>\n
