<\/a><\/p>\nEA will charge you $4.99<\/strong> (R82<\/strong>) a month, and in turn you\u2019ll receive a few worthwhile perks:<\/p>\n Well, they\u2019re letting others play \u201cmore than a dozen great PC games\u201d on Origin for $4.99; Origin Access isn\u2019t currently available in South Africa, nor is it available in a number of regions for that matter, but EA has said they\u2019re working on it.<\/p>\n Unable to check Origin Access out for ourselves, Eurogamer<\/a> has compiled a list of the games currently available on Origin Access:<\/p>\n As you can see, Star Wars Battlefront <\/em>is one of those games, but it\u2019s no surprise given how well it\u2019s been selling.<\/p>\n EA is not about to quell the sales of their bestselling game just yet, but we\u2019re sure it will be added in the future.<\/p>\n Either way, it\u2019s an appealing prospect. Many of the games available on Origin Access are well worth sinking your teeth into, and the rest of the perks are icing on the cake, particularly Play First<\/strong>.<\/p>\n At just over $59 a year, the price of about one and a half games, it\u2019s well worth considering.<\/p>\n Do keep in mind that cancelling your subscription will mean a loss of access to the games in the vault, but that\u2019s hardly the biggest train smash. There are a couple detractors, however.<\/p>\n We would like to point out that if you\u2019re doing it for the likes of Battlefield 3<\/em> and 4<\/em>, the South African community has definitely waned since its release.<\/p>\n But perhaps the biggest detractor is that EA Access<\/a> is a lot cheaper, and we mean A LOT<\/strong>. In fact, an EA Access yearly subscription will cost just R299<\/strong>.<\/p>\n It\u2019s for that reason that we suggest you hold off on Origin Access until you\u2019re able to purchase subscriptions a year at a time, for a big reduction in cost.<\/p>\n\n
