The racing-sim genre has evolved quite substantially in the last couple years.<\/p>\n
Many of the second-rate (if we can call them that) entries onto the track always seem to be pushed aside by the far superior Gran Turismo<\/em> and Forza<\/em> series, with each holding a solid grip\u00a0on their exclusive platforms.<\/p>\n Well, that’s not stopping\u00a0505 Games from releasing their true-to-form racing sim, Assetto Corsa<\/em>, onto the world.<\/p>\n The hardcore racer\u00a0made its debut on PC back in December 2014, where it developed a name for itself amongst the racing community for its realistic handling and graphics, and now it’s finally getting a full release\u00a0on Xbox One and PS4.<\/p>\n The console versions will include over 90 high-performance cars, including the Ferrari LaFerrari, Pagani Zonda R and Mercedes C9.<\/p>\n As for the tarmac needed to burn rubber, 20 different track “configurations” are featured in Assetto Corsa<\/em>, including Silverstone, Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, Autodromo Nazionale Monza and Nurburgring-Nordschleife.<\/p>\n Pre-ordering the game, meanwhile, will offer access to three bonus cars: the Ferrari 488 GTB, Audi R8V10 Plus and Corvette C7 Stingray.<\/p>\n Both versions will run at 60fps, but “like any other game”, Kunos Simulazioni co-founder Marco Massarutto tells Eurogamer<\/a>, the PS4 version runs at 1080p, with the Xbox One version coming in at 900p.<\/p>\n “We fought a lot to have full HD also on Xbox One, but there’s no way for us to do it,<\/em>” Massarutto said. “Forza did a very good job – but they have dedicated libraries. Regardless, they did a really good job. When I played the game, I thought ‘wow’. They’ve done such a good job with the visuals.<\/em>”<\/p>\n Assetto Corsa<\/em> will release on PS4 and Xbox One on April 22, 2016.<\/p>\n
