Fallout 4<\/em> was not without its problems, and still, we absolutely adored it as one of the most enjoyable gaming experiences of 2015.<\/p>\n

Bethesda\u2019s undisclosed season pass, however; that was an entirely different story.<\/p>\n

We\u2019ve talked about it before<\/a>, ranted and raved is more like it, but Bethesda is once again selling DLC without telling us what that DLC actually entails, unbelievable.<\/p>\n

The DLC in question is in addition to the content Bethesda initially promised when first selling the season pass, which is why they\u2019re bumping up the season pass from $29.99 to $49.99.<\/p>\n

The good news that some of the DLC disclosed by Bethesda sounds pretty darn good.<\/p>\n

Automatron<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\"Fallout<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cThe mysterious Mechanist has unleashed a horde of evil robots into the Commonwealth, including the devious Robobrain. Hunt them down and harvest their parts to build and mod your own custom robot companions. Choose from hundreds of mods; mixing limbs, armor, abilities, and weapons like the all-new lightning chain gun. Even customize their paint schemes and choose their voices!\u201d<\/p>\n

Our annoyance over yet more undisclosed DLC aside, that actually sounds pretty fun.<\/p>\n

Customising our armour and weaponry was one of the game\u2019s better additions, incentivising us to spend a good amount of our time not just tweaking weaponry to suit our playstyle, but encouraging a variety of approaches without demanding we dig up new weapons altogether.<\/p>\n

It does have its limitations, coming across as a little lacklustre at times, but it\u2019s nothing modders can\u2019t fix by adding new weapon types and modifications, and the same goes for armour.<\/p>\n

Besides, constructing our own personalised robot is just more fuel for any aspiring modder\u2019s creativity.<\/p>\n

Wasteland Workshop<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\"Fallout<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cWith the Wasteland Workshop, design and set cages to capture live creatures \u2013 from raiders to Deathclaws! Tame them or have them face off in battle, even against your fellow settlers. The Wasteland Workshop also includes a suite of new design options for your settlements like nixi tube lighting, letter kits, taxidermy and more!\u201d<\/p>\n

\"Fallout<\/a><\/p>\n

It\u2019s a good thing Bethesda is retailing this piece of DLC for just $4.99 because arenas are so common they\u2019re almost cop-outs.<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t get us wrong, we love the idea of building our own arena and fielding tournaments between ourselves and the strongest inhabitants of The Commonwealth, but we can\u2019t imagine fighting creatures we\u2019ve already fought hundreds of times over will remain that interesting for long.<\/p>\n

What we would pay for is a deep taming mechanic, but we don\u2019t think there\u2019s much of a chance of that.<\/p>\n

Far Harbor<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\"Fallout<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cA new case from Valentine\u2019s Detective Agency leads you on a search for a young woman and a secret colony of synths. Travel off the coast of Maine to the mysterious island of Far Harbor, where higher levels of radiation have created a more feral world. Navigate through the growing conflict between the synths, the Children of Atom, and the local townspeople.\u201d<\/p>\n

\"Fallout<\/a><\/p>\n

This is the sort of DLC we want from Bethesda. It\u2019s similar to what was offered by Fallout 3<\/em>, and really stood out for us.<\/p>\n

Far Harbor also promises new, \u201chigher-level\u201d armour and weapons; it\u2019s hard to say no to that.<\/p>\n

And yet, we\u2019re still pretty annoyed that Bethesda has continued to ask for money without disclosing any plans for what that purchase will net you.<\/p>\n

The only way we\u2019d recommend a season pass purchase is to purchase it before March 1st<\/sup>, as it\u2019ll cost the original amount but will include the newly announced DLC.<\/p>\n

That way, you\u2019re effectively paying for the announced as well as the confirmed DLC, but at half the price.<\/p>\n
