System Shock 3<\/em><\/a> has coaxed Warren Spector out of his life of academia to join the team at Otherside Entertainment working on the game,\u00a0Ars Technica reported<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Spector, who worked on games like Deus Ex<\/em> and Thief<\/em>, joins the team as studio director after serving briefly as a creative advisor.<\/p>\n

He joins studio founder Paul Neurath who he worked with at Looking Glass on games like Thief<\/em> and Ultima Underworld<\/em>.<\/p>\n

In addition to System Shock 3<\/em>, Otherside Entertainment is also working on a spiritual successor to Ultima Underworld<\/em> called Ultima Ascension<\/em>.<\/p>\n
