We initially speculated that cracking group 3DM had abandoned cracking PC games<\/a>, due to their experiences with games like Just Cause 3<\/em> and Rise of the Tomb Raider<\/em>.<\/p>\n

These games used an anti-tamper DRM, provided by Denuvo, that made the games increasingly complex to crack.<\/p>\n

This appears to not be the case, as 3DM has just announced that they\u2019re not giving up on cracking games using Denuvo\u2019s DRM.<\/p>\n

With the latest announcement from one of the group\u2019s leaders<\/a> via TorrentFreak<\/a>, it is suggested that 3DM have not abandoned the game piracy scene.<\/p>\n

This is what 3DM\u2019s leader \u201cBird Sister\u201d had to say:<\/p>\n

3DM will soon announce that we have a solution to the latest Denuvo encryption used on games including FIFA 16<\/em>, Just Cause 3<\/em>, and Tomb Raider: The Rise<\/em>. We made this announcement because a lot of players believe we have abandoned cracking due to technical problems, but we will prove it is not the case. We have not yet been stumped.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The above statement doesn\u2019t necessarily mean that 3DM have cracked Denuvo\u2019s anti-tamper technology outright.<\/p>\n

However, it is plausible that they could be onto something, regarding a method for cracking this DRM.<\/p>\n

For now, it appears that 3DM\u2019s passion for cracking is reignited and perhaps, they could indeed crack Denuvo\u2019s DRM.<\/p>\n
