target=\"_blank\"><strong>Sony announced that the PlayStation VR<\/strong><\/a> will release in October 2016\u00a0for a recommended retail price of $399.<\/p>\n<p>The company said PlayStation VR represents \u201ca transformative experience in gaming, and we wanted to take the time needed to launch with a broad variety of content and a sufficient supply of hardware\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>More than 230 developers are currently building content for PlayStation VR \u2013 from smaller independent teams to larger studios at the industry\u2019s top publishers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe expect to have more than 50 games available from launch in October 2016 until the end of the year,\u201d said Sony.<\/p>\n<p>The PlayStation VR will be launched from <span class=\"xn-chron\">October 2016<\/span> in the UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Australia, New Zealand, Poland, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Russia and Czech Republic.<\/p>\n<p>The release date of the product in South Africa and other regions is currently unconfirmed.<\/p>\n<p><a
