Bethesda have released<\/a> details of the multiplayer maps that will be available when DOOM launches. The details are accompanied by a trailer which showcases the various maps.<\/p>\n

DOOM will ship with 9 multiplayer maps, each with different features and hazards. The maps are designed to be brutal and supportive of fast-paced gameplay, and Bethesda said that none of the maps created so far feature any effective sniping or hiding spots.<\/p>\n

The maps will include hazards such as explosive barrels, lava, fire, hazard canisters, radioactive slime and pits of death. Demons are immune to a few of these hazards, while humans are generally vulnerable to all of them.<\/p>\n

Other map features include familiar arena mechanics such as teleporters and bouncy pads, which can be used by both humans and demons.<\/p>\n
