The game would also need to make use of the controller rather than motion control.

We all know how terrible swinging your arms in a game can be and the Elder Scrolls games rely heavily on the mashing of the R2/RT button.

If it was to ever happen, then it would need a solid shield and sword type of gameplay, one in which a player takes a more strategic stance at combat.

Think Infinity Blade on iOS, but first person, and with VR.

Harvest Moon RPG mash up

Those of you who have ever played Fantasy Life will understand where I am going with this game.

The game lets the player choose from various roles in which he or she goes out into a vibrant world to level up.

If you are a miner, you will mine, and if you are a sorcerer, you will use magic to kill monsters.

To make a successful simulation game meets RPG, it will need a beautiful world that is not only great to explore, but teleports the player to its gorgeous landscapes and makes them feel like they are part of the world.

While you are not slaying beasts, you are tending to your farm, and redecorating your house, which thanks to VR comes alive more than ever.

Think Ni No Kuni visuals, with Harvest Moon farming, and tucked away within it a solid role-based RPG.

Podracing

In a world overcrowded by simulation racers, a futuristic one will be most welcoming.

Bring back Wipeout, or something on the same lines as it. Get into your pod and race through different iterations of various planets.

Thinks Destiny’s Sparrow Racing, but with refined racing mechanics, and a wide range of tracks to race across.

To make a racing game work with VR, it has to have the ability to make the player feel like he is in the driver’s seat of this pod.

When he wants to use nitro, he needs to actually find the button in the midst of the chaos on the track and press it.

When something goes wrong with his pod, he needs to try and fix it while still focusing on the race.

That is VR, having the ability to fully realize a scenario without compromising on the “reality” part of it.

Titanfall

Although Sony are working on various shooters for the PlayStation VR, I worry about all these on-rail shooters that will literally take you from point A to B without any sort of freedom.

I know it is a challenge creating a first-person shooter with VR, as it needs to be comfortable and easy to get the hang of.

Playing Call of Duty:Black Ops III for example will end up with motion sickness as it is extremely fast paced.

The only game I can see working with VR would be a Titanfall mash up. The Titans walk and turn at a gradual pace, allowing you to actually control the camera while still shooting.

It does not need you to get whiplash as your try and turn around to kill the enemy behind you. So what if Titanfall does not happen, another robot shooter like Armored Core would be perfect.

Digimon World

Imagine you are playing a brand new Digimon game, and you are in the “real world” portion of the game, doing normal day to day activities.

Your player then finds a strange looking headset and when placed on his head it then teleports him to the Digital World.

You’re able to switch between the Digital World and the real world in an awesome RPG-based Digimon game.

We have always wanted a Pokémon or Digimon game to feel as real as ever and this could be the closest thing to pretending we are Tai meeting Agumon for the first time.

Exploring a dense Digital World while training and Digivolving your Digimon would be cool.

When it is time to save and exit, you just take the headset off and return to the real world. I would never leave home if this ever happened.

So there you have my wild wish list for VR games.
