The release date was confirmed at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.finalfantasyxv.com\/uncovered\/us\/\" target=\"_blank\">Uncovered: Final Fantasy XV<\/a> event held in Los Angeles on 30 March.<\/p>\n<p>The event showcased various new trailers and gameplay of the upcoming title, along with the release of a free Final Fantasy anime series named <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=8FBP27zcQgE\" target=\"_blank\">Brotherhood<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Final Fantasy XV was re-introduced to the gaming world at E3 2013 after undergoing changes since its original inception in 2006.<\/p>\n<p>The game was not originally envisioned as a core element of the Final Fantasy series, and was originally called Final Fantasy Versus XIII.
