This year’s Call of Duty game will be a sci-fi shooter set in space, according a report from Eurogamer<\/a>.<\/p>\n

This setting would be a departure from the usual Call of Duty war zone, although recent titles in the franchise have featured progressively more complex technology and weaponry.<\/p>\n

Black Ops 3 showcased different forms of futuristic technology such as cybernetics, and it is reported that the latest addition to the franchise will take the futuristic concept further than its predecessors.<\/p>\n

The information was first leaked by a NeoGaf user<\/a> who is a reliable source of information within the gaming industry. The leaked information was acknowledged by Eurogamer<\/a>, who confirm that they have heard the same thing from independent sources.<\/p>\n

“This makes Black Ops 3 feel like the stone age,” said the NeoGaf user<\/a> who leaked the information.<\/p>\n

This sci-fi Call of Duty will not be a direct sequel to Ghosts, and will feature at E3 2016.<\/p>\n

The latest Call of Duty title is being developed by Infinity Ward, and is expected to launch near the end of 2016.
