Polarfluke is looking at a viable solution for LAN attendees who want to participate.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>As usual, we will be sponsoring cash prizes for first and second place finalists.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>From <a href=\"http:\/\/polarfluke.co.za\/index.php?option=com_content&amp;view=article&amp;id=1:polarfluke-xmas&amp;catid=5:starcraft-2&amp;Itemid=18\" target=\"_blank\">Polarfluke.co.za<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>When and Where<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Group Stages &ndash; With the official start time of 15:00 (3pm) Saturday 4 December, even the players who partied Friday night will have time to squeeze in some sleep before the tournament.<\/p>\n<p>Single Elimination &ndash; The Single Elimination matches will start at 15:00 (3pm) Sunday 5 December.<\/p>\n<p>The tournament will be run via the European Battle.net server. Thus please ensure you are in possession of a EU version of the game.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Admin assistance<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Throughout the tournament fluKe, Alcardu and bLuuMz will be available to assist you. You may contact us via IRC (\/join #PolarfluKe) or Battle.net (Alcardu, Code: 599 | fluKe, Code: 855).<\/p>\n<p>The structure will be as follows:<\/p>\n<p>24+ Entries = 4 groups, 6+ players each, bo3. Top 4 from each group proceed to the 16-player bracket, Single Elimination, best of 3.<\/p>\n<p>32+ Entries = 8 groups, 4+ players each, bo3. Top 2 from each group proceed to the 16-player bracket, Single Elimination, best of 3.<\/p>\n<p>48+ Entries = 16 groups, &nbsp;3+ players each, bo3. Top 2 from each group proceed to the 32-player bracket, Single Elimination, best of 3. &nbsp;In the event of each group having 6 players, all further registrations will be on stand-by.<\/p>\n<p>Seedings will be taken from previous PolarfluKe tournaments where needed.<\/p>\n<p>The groups will be made available on Saturday between 2 pm and 3 pm.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Placement Prizes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1st &#8211; R700.00 [MyGaming]<\/p>\n<p>2nd &#8211; R300.00 [MyGaming]<\/p>\n<p><strong>Spot Prizes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>TBA<\/p>\n<p>Note: Spot prizes will not be awarded to anyone who qualifies for a placement prize. Just to spread the love more \ud83d\ude42 Also we will exclude players who disappear during the tournament and do not compete in all their matches. &nbsp;Prizes can only be won by South African residents.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to Register<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Players have until 12:00 (12pm) Saturday [4th of December] to register their entries. Entries can be submitted via our convenient <a href=\"http:\/\/polarfluke.co.za\/index.php?option=com_wrapper&amp;view=wrapper&amp;Itemid=19\" target=\"_blank\">Registration tab,<\/a> found at the top of the site.<\/p>\n<div><strong>Rules<\/strong><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<div>Map selection will proceed as follows: Each players is allowed to completely veto one map from the map pool, for the duration of the match. After this players take turns to eliminate one map each, until the final &lsquo;Starting Map&rsquo; is left. Every subsequent map will be chosen by the previous map&rsquo;s loser, taking into account that a veto&rsquo;d map may not be chosen. A coin toss will decide which player goes first.Alternatively players may simply agree on a starting map.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><strong>Map Pool<\/strong><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>1. Shakuras Plateau<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>In the case of a disconnection: A disconnection within the first four (4) minutes of play time will result in a rematch. A disconnection after four (4) minutes will result in a loss, unless the players request a rematch and an admin approves. Any disputes should be brought to an admin&rsquo;s attention.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Foul language and general misconduct: Those guilty will receive a warning based on severity. Misconduct includes tardiness, disrespect to other players or administrators and players not submitting results to an administrator after a game is completed. Administrators reserve the right to disqualify a player for misconduct.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Match Results: A map is won in one of two ways &ndash; Beat your opponent sufficiently to have him\/her admit defeat (Standard practice is &lsquo;gg&rsquo;) or destroy all of his\/her buildings.The result of each match must be reported by both players to an admin.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Replays must be submitted to a tournament administrator after each round in the format &lsquo;Player1_Player2_map_Game Number&rsquo; (Example: Alcardu_Fluke_Scrap_2). Emailfluke[@]polarfluke.co.za or alcardu[@]polarfluke.co.za.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Ingame Spectators: Players may decide if they are to allow spectators into a match, however administrators and approved shoutcasters may spectate any match.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The administrators decision is final, no discussion on decisions will be entered into.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Participants of a minor age must submit a letter of consent via email along with their entry for the tournament.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>As always we welcome feedback, both negative and positive.
