Minecraft’s mobile edition is set to receive an update that will bring it in line with the more flexible PC version.<\/p>\n

The biggest change in the update comes in the form of “command blocks” – items that will be completely programmable and usable by the player character.<\/p>\n

These command blocks act as an updated version of texture packs and will not only re-texture tiles, but allow for new music, adjustable models, and in-game animation.<\/p>\n

Jens Bergenstein, lead developer on Minecraft, indicated<\/a><\/strong> that “command blocks” were just the beginning and that the company hoped to enable extensive changes, including mod capabilities on both mobile versions as well as consoles.<\/p>\n

The mobile version will also boast new graphical improvements, including the option to turn on anti-aliasing and the addition of animated water.<\/p>\n

The severely limited <\/a><\/strong>Windows 10 version of the game will receive a similar update, bringing it in line with the other PC versions. No release date has been set for the upcoming 0.15.0 update.<\/p>\n
