The 1990s was a great decade for video gamers, whether on console or PC.\u00a0Out of the fashion disaster that was the 90s, whole genres of games were born.<\/p>\n

It gave us the first-person shooter, real-time strategy games, three generations of consoles, the analog stick, and saw online gaming come to consoles.<\/p>\n

Ranking the titles from such an important period in the history of gaming is not trivial, so I used the aggregate scores from professional reviewers as a starting point.<\/p>\n

Metacritic only runs from 1995, but GameRankings<\/a><\/strong> has the review scores of games released from 1990.<\/p>\n
