The nominated song was composed by Christopher Tin for the song &lsquo;Baba Yetu.&rsquo;<\/p>\n<p>Baba Yetu also features a contribution from the Soweto Gospel Choir, which I suppose effectively makes them the first gospel choir in the world to be nominated for a Grammy for their contribution in a video game song.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/civilization_iv_screenshot_258698462.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"Civilization IV\" title=\"Civilization IV\" width=\"340\" height=\"232\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The song has been nominated in the &#8220;Best Instrumental Arrangement Accompanying Vocalists&#8221; category. It is up against Roger Treece&#8217;s &#8220;Baby,&#8221; Vince Mendoza&#8217;s &#8220;Based On A Thousand True Stories,&#8221; Geoffrey Keezer&#8217;s &#8220;Don&#8217;t Explain,&#8221; and Herbie Hancock and Larry Klein&#8217;s &#8220;Imagine.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The winner will be announced at the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards which are being held on 13 February 2011.<\/p>\n<p>The song originally appeared in Firaxis Games 2005 game, Civilization IV.
