{"id":89165,"date":"2016-04-13T10:58:37","date_gmt":"2016-04-13T08:58:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/?p=89165"},"modified":"2016-04-13T10:59:46","modified_gmt":"2016-04-13T08:59:46","slug":"nvidia-gtx-1080-killer-graphics-card-release-date","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/hardware\/89165-nvidia-gtx-1080-killer-graphics-card-release-date","title":{"rendered":"NVIDIA GTX 1080 killer graphics card &#8211; release date"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The GTX 1080, along with Nvidia&#8217;s other Pascal cards the 1070 and 1080TI, is expected see an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.methodtech.co.uk\/2016\/04\/nvidia-pascal-gtx-10801070-revealed-using-gddr5x\/\" target=\"_blank\">international release<\/a> in June.<\/p>\n<p>The new Pascal architecture promises enhanced power efficiency and floating point (FLOPS) performance.<\/p>\n<p>Based on a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bitsandchips.it\/9-hardware\/6854-nvidia-gp104-con-due-pcb-reference-base-gddr5-e-premium-gddr5x\" target=\"_blank\">GP104 core<\/a>, the GTX 1080 will be Nvidia\u2019s flagship card, using 8GB of GDDR5X to achieve what\u00a0is\u00a0speculated to be as much as 384GB\/s depending on memory clock over a 256-bit bus.<\/p>\n<p>This should eliminate current graphics bottlenecks and allow for higher-resolution gaming.
