A map leaked on NeoGaf <\/a><\/strong>appears to detail the world of Red Dead Redemption 2.<\/p>\n

The map was quickly pulled from the gaming forum, but not before a few enterprising members took screenshots and cleaned up the image quality.<\/p>\n

The new map is much larger than the original game’s, with a number of water bodies and the appearance of islands – indicating that the player character will be able to swim for the first time.<\/p>\n

The game map also features a full-blown city for the first time – “New Bordeaux” (a fictional take on New Orleans?)<\/p>\n

Perhaps the biggest news is that the game appears to be a prequel, and will feature many of the iconic towns and locations from the first game. although they will be far less developed than when we last saw them.<\/p>\n

The game will still feature a railroad system, but the Western side of the map (including Blackwater from the first game) will be relatively untouched by man.<\/p>\n

Rockstar have yet to announce a sequel to their 2010 Western hit but development on an upcoming sequel has been rumoured.<\/p>\n
