{"id":9053,"date":"2010-12-17T13:09:00","date_gmt":"2010-12-17T11:09:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"-0001-11-29T22:00:00","slug":"official-playstation-app-coming-to-iphone-android","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/playstation\/9053-official-playstation-app-coming-to-iphone-android","title":{"rendered":"Official PlayStation App coming to iPhone, Android"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Sony has announced via the <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.eu.playstation.com\/2010\/12\/16\/the-official-playstation-app-coming-soon-to-iphone-and-android-handsets\/\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"PlayStation.Blog\">PlayStation.Blog<\/a> that an Official PlayStation App will be launched &ldquo;very soon.&rdquo; The app will be free to download.<\/p>\n<p>The app will be available on the iPhone and iPod Touch devices running iOS4 as well as Adroid devices running a minimum of Android OS version 1.6.<\/p>\n<p>Version 1.0 of the PlayStation App will do the following:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Check out your PlayStation Network trophies and keep up to date with your friends&rsquo; games and online status.<br \/>&#8211; Discover all the latest games, news and hardware for your PlayStation 3, PSP and PlayStation 2.<br \/>&#8211; Read all the announcements on the European PlayStation.Blog.<br \/>&#8211; Share your favourite products or news with your friends on Facebook, Twitter or via e-mail.<\/p>\n<p>Whilst version 1.0 will only be officially available in certain EU countries (UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, and The Netherlands), where there is a will, there is a way.<\/p>\n<p>Sony does have plans to include support for most countries with the release of their next version, something they are already working on.
