The new AMD Polaris 10 GPU will supposedly have the same power as a GTX 980 for a fraction of the price.<\/p>\n

This follows a behind-closed-doors event<\/a><\/strong> held by AMD in Taiwan showcasing the upcoming Polaris GPUs.<\/p>\n

Polaris GPUs are made using a 14nm FinFET fabrication<\/a><\/strong> process, which leads to an increased performance in transistor density and efficiency for a fraction of the manufacturing costs.<\/p>\n

“Early benchmarks<\/strong> <\/a>have the Polaris 10 scoring in the region of 4000 points in 3DMark Fire Strike Ultra, which puts it firmly in the ballpark of the Fury X and the 980 Ti.”<\/p>\n

The AMD Polaris 10 GPU has not received an official release date or pricing, but rumours point to a $300 <\/strong>– $400<\/strong> price range.<\/p>\n
