{"id":91145,"date":"2016-05-10T15:25:07","date_gmt":"2016-05-10T13:25:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/?p=91145"},"modified":"2016-05-10T15:26:30","modified_gmt":"2016-05-10T13:26:30","slug":"here-are-the-worlds-most-popular-internet-browsers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/features\/91145-here-are-the-worlds-most-popular-internet-browsers","title":{"rendered":"Here are the world&#8217;s most popular internet browsers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.netmarketshare.com\">NetmarketShare <\/a><\/strong>recently completed its survey of over 40,000 websites in order to determine which browsers users prefer.<\/p>\n<p>For the first time ever, Google has overtaken Internet Explorer as the most popular browser, with <strong>41.66%<\/strong> of the market-share.<\/p>\n<p>Just behind it was longtime front runner, Internet Explorer with <strong>41.35%<\/strong> of the market-share.<\/p>\n<p>The other big players are <strong>Firefox<\/strong> (9.76%), <strong>Safari<\/strong> (4.91%), <strong>Opera<\/strong> (1.89%), and Microsoft&#8217;s new <strong>Edge<\/strong> browser (3.1%).<\/p>\n<p>The biggest reason for Chrome&#8217;s dominance is that Microsoft have now officially left Internet Explorer for the Windows 10 Edge browser &#8211; effectively taking its own market-share.<\/p>\n<p>Microsoft&#8217;s Edge browser is also relatively elementary and doesn&#8217;t even currently allow for the installation of plugins.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What browser do you use?
