The PS3 version of Call of Duty: Black Ops has been updated to version 1.05. Complaints are still running rife in the wake of the 1.04 PS3 patch, and a quick search around the gaming forums of the internet reveals that not many players were happy with patch 1.04.<\/p>\n
Patch 1.05 hasn’t fared much better so far, as it seems to address a number of connectivity issues, but hasn’t fixed the numerous other gameplay bugs PS3 players are experiencing. At this point, Black Ops on the PS3 still appears to be painfully broken.<\/p>\n
Below is the list of fixes delivered with Call of Duty: Black Ops patch 1.05:<\/p>\n
– Improved party reliability when leaving with party – an additional step in an ongoing series of party improvements continued in the next patch.<\/p>\n
– Improved UPnP functionality – further expands the game’s capability to open NATs on routers with universal plug and play enabled.<\/p>\n
– Enabled mute functionality in Playercards in the pre-game lobby.<\/p>\n
– Enabled kick functionality in party and private match lobbies.<\/p>\n
– Addressed an issue where the pre-game lobby would not always display properly when multiple players leave the lobby after a team split.<\/p>\n
– Addressed an issue where the pre-game lobby would appear stuck on the countdown timer while waiting to balance teams.<\/p>\n
Treyarch has also identified a few more issues that they are currently working on fixing:<\/p>\n
– Addressing a freeze that would occur in rare situations involving a combination of high player counts and many killstreaks \/ explosions occurring simultaneously in a concentrated area.<\/p>\n
– Further improvements to party reliability to address an issue where mixed NAT types connecting and disconnecting can cause players to drop in some situations.<\/p>\n
– Investigating “infinite loading screen” issue reported by some users.<\/p>\n
