The latest MyBroadband speed test results show that Cybersmart and MWEB offer the lowest average latency on ADSL and VDSL lines.<\/p>\n

MyBroadband\u2019s speed test servers make use of Ookla\u2019s platform and are hosted in Teraco\u2019s vendor-neutral data centres in Johannesburg and Cape Town.<\/p>\n

Through NapAfrica, all network operators present at its peering points are provided with a free 1Gbps connection to the MyBroadband speed test platform.<\/p>\n

To ensure that only results from broadband connections are used, MyBroadband filters speed tests based on network information from the Internet service providers.<\/p>\n

With over 40,000 broadband tests per month, the MyBroadband speed test platform is a popular destination for South Africans to gauge their Internet services.<\/p>\n

Best ADSL and VDSL ISP accounts for gaming<\/h3>\n

The results show that Cybersmart had the lowest latency on ADSL at 45ms, while MWEB had the lowest VDSL latency at 37ms.<\/p>\n

The table below show the top five ADSL and VDSL ISPs, based on average latency.<\/p>\n
